How it all started...
Olla Methodist Church was founded on the base of Wesleyan theology. We were founded and built by faithful members of the Olla/La Salle Parish communities so that there would be a place for all who wanted to hear the Gospel to go and be a part of a church family. To this day, we are accomplishing the mission of Christ as described in Matthew 28:19-20
Expanding the vision...
We have spent countless hours of prayer seeking where God wants us. We have come up with new ideas to keep us "relevant" in the community, while staying faithful to the Holy Bible, which we will never deviate from.
Where we are headed...
We are headed in the direction of growth for the Kingdom of God. Our mission is to be a multi-generational, multi-cultural, and multi-ethnic hub for community with Christ. We want God to use us in a way that has never been seen before in this part of Louisiana.
We hope and pray that our members will not stay within the doors of the church, but that they will go and be disciples out in the world, while making disciples among others.
